When you can't imagine your life with anyone other than him/her, when all you can do all day long is think about them, when it hurts you to be without them, you know that person is the one.

I first met my fiance (very briefly) two years before we started dating. I knew the moment I saw him that there was something special about him. Years later we were working at the same job and just ended up talking a lot. We both ride motorcycles and I went on a ride with him one evening after work. We just clicked with each other. A few months later we moved in together and we have been living together ever since. Soon to be married. It's just something you know.

I saw him pumping gas. I told my friend that that was the man I was going to marry. And here I am 10 years later married for 8 with 2 beautiful children. So I guess it was love at first sight.

I knew the first time I heard his name! Even though we would not meet in person for another three months. We have been together nine years, married eight and have two great little boys.

I didn't know I wanted to marry him, but I knew it was going to happen when he started "nesting":
He bought me new sheets (I had 3 pair of perfectly good sheets).
He criticized my couch and help me pick out a new one.
He kept telling me how good I looked in white.
Oh, yeah, and my mother said he was "a nice boy"

When he was proposing to me he said he couldn't imagine a day without me in his life...and didn't WANT to imagine a day without me in his life. I felt exactly the same way...THAT'S how you know.

I felt there wasn't anything we couldn't fix or get thru together. I knew he would love and respect me for the rest of his life. I love him, he's my best friend, my partner, my lover....he's everything to me and still loves that I am independent.

Basically everything about him. The way he takes care of me and talks to me and is always there for me. Honestly though, and I know it sounds cliche, but the two things that can always make me tell he's the one is the way he looks at me and the way he kisses me. He looks at me like I am the only other person on the planet. It sounds corny, but it's true, you'll be able to tell when you find him/her.
