It means that you can't know the taste of the fruit without tasting it. Though an orange is an orange, some are sweet and some are sour (even from the same tree). So don't stereotype. Never say "all" anything or they could "never" do this. Treat each person as an individual and dont prejudge.

People from the same family have different taste. For example twin sisters even though they look a like and are obviously from the same family they have different taste and habbits or characteristics.

That means there are two trees...Boy and Girl genders. Even though we are all Boys, we are all different as the same goes for the Girl tree

That even though people may be part of a group, whether it be cultural, sexual, racial, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, etc., we are all still individuals and aren't all the same. Don't judge a person based on what they are but who they are.
