I currently have a TIN (Tax, ID, Number) and I need to fill out my W4 with my employer, can I put this number on my W4 instead of a social?

The social security off should have assigned you a temporary number. If they did not then just check the box that says applied for one or write this in there. After you get it give it to your employer. No you can not use your EIN no#
