Salman Rushdie has never hid his background. But he spent many years in hiding after the Ayatollah Khomeini of Iran issued a fatwa against him calling for his murder. That fatwa is still in effect today.
But answer this if you can, and I know you can't. If what Mr. Rushdie did was so terrible, criticizing Islam and leaving the faith, then why not leave it up to Allah to punish him when the time comes. Why must the leaders of Islam issue death warrants without trial for such people? Is Islam so fragile that it can't withstand a little criticism or apostasy?

Rushdie is an Arab and was a Muslim, he wrote a book telling the truth about Islam so now all the Muslim's want to kill him for telling the truth because truth is something they don't seem to understand, they only seem to understand murdering innocent men, women and children. I pray for Muslims every day.

Rushdie was brought up in the Muslim faith and is now an atheist and a British citizen, he is also a winner of the Booker prize and is one of the world's most respected authors.

I think you are convused I did not know salman rushdi was exmuslim but even if he is I do not see why he would be oin here under false names.

Because he spoke the truth, now the murdering Muslims want to kill him, I would be changing my name too, if that was happening to me, he has just reinforced how bad that religion really is, unfortunately you can't handle truth.
