If you trust the guy and feel comfortable being with him without other people around, go for it. Just be careful. And of course be ready for anything!

How long have you known this man? Have you ever seen him before?
Do you think it is because you both like music or is interest in you homoerotic?
Will it be just the two of you?
If you just met the man I would say no. He might be perfectly nice, but then again you could be robbed, raped or killed. If pressed agree to it some time vaguely in the future. You should know more about someone first before going home with them.
If you have known the man a while - why not? Make your self a new friend.

As with anyone you don't know, public meetings are the safest.
If someone is interested in you then they shouldn't mind seeing you in a safe place. If they don't go for public meeting it could be that they're after one thing or a dangerous individual.
You could always suggest a public meeting there again and get to know each other, especially when no alcohol is involved so you're thinking is 100% clear :)

I wouldn't. Haven't you ever heard of Jeffrey Dahmer??? Infamous serial killer/cannibal from the United States who preyed on gay men. I think that was his pick-up line....
Whether you are a man or a woman, I say it's always safer and smarter to get to know someone on neutral territory before making it back to their place.

It sounds like he might want to do more than listen to music.
Go if you want to, but be prepared in case he ins't as into the music as he is in you.
Have fun!

There's a non-fiction book called Killing for Company that you might want to read first.
