"Clinical death" is completely different from dead. At some point, under most situtations less than 15 minutes*, you go from clincally dead to actually dead. IF you come back from that, then let us all know.
*In certain circumstances, like children falling into ice water, 'clinical death' can go on for hours before the person becomes truly dead, but that's an exception to the rule above.
So there is no 'folly' in science as some ignorant unedjucated person put it... it all depends on how words are defined.

When I was 14 I committed suicide after my cousin shot and killed himself in front of me.I died and was standing in blackness when I heard his voice.I couldn't see him for the first few minutes but he talked to me and soothed me.He told me I wasn't ready to be where he was and that he was saddened I chose the same path as he did. Then he was suddenly standing beside me gave me a huge hug said he loved me he was sorry for the scar he caused on my soul and that he wished me happiness on my life's journey. He pushed me really hard I joke you not and suddenly I was laying on a hospital bed and I can't explain the pain I felt jolting through my entire body.
Apparently I died and they had to jump start me to bring me back.
I have walked a better path and have made several better decisions in the 16 years since.I have found happiness and I appreciate the good with the bad.Life is a living experience and I am its student.
Blessed Be,
M.G

Doesn't show the folly of science. You can be legally dead and "come back to life." Just as some legally blind people can see. Jinenglish, you have many documented answers that only show your lack of rational thinking. Sorry for the blatant ad hominem, but c'mon.

If you 'came back to life' then you were not truly dead now were you?

Technically, you may have been dead, but I don't think you were dead in reality. To be dead, one's body must be totally incapable of reviving. In a religious sense, the relationship with the soul must be irrevocably separated. When one is truly dead, there is no chance of revival.

My heart stopped and I stopped breathing.
No lights, no out of body experience, no gods, no devils, nothing.
I was revived by the ambulance workers after CPR was performed by an Uncle.

I did sit through a chick-flick with my wife last night.
That's got to be something like dying...
