Why do you say that an ape has no soul? What is the difference between the ape living and you living? You display a conscience, and the ape displays a conscience. You exhibit consciousness, and the ape exhibits consciousness. The ape is born, eats, mates, sleeps, defends, produces offspring, whithers, and dies. You also do these things. What is your knowledge of the soul, that you have determined that you have one, but other living beings do not?

Uhm, apes don't have the cognitive ability to understand religion. Currently, the only species that has this ability is the homo sapien. Perhaps as evolution progresses, a new species will appear that also has this ability. I wonder what the Christians would say then? Then again, I don't think they'll survive that long.

Why wouldnt it have a soul? It feels feelings just as we do. Animals get angry and scared, etc. If I were to punch my dog in the nose he would act sad and not understand why I did such a thing. I think its just because humans can't communicate with animals directly. Christianity sucks.

Yes, it would be cruel. We all know the soul didn't evolve until the advent of the h sapiens sapiens. Scientists haven't found the soul molecule yet, but we've got the genome mapped so it's only a matter of time!

Uh "JC is the man" and other ignorant fools, there are a few gorillas in captivity that know sign language. Scientists estimate their comprehension is on par with a four year old person. (If you don't believe me look it up simpletons).

So the central tenet of Christianity "Believe in this guy Jesus here or YOU WILL BE PUNISHED" is certainly understandable to them.

Who says it has no soul? It lives and breathes, therefore by that alone it has a soul. It knows who his creator is and acts according to the way it was made to.
