Hinduism believes in a soul (atman), Buddhism does not (anatman).
Hinduism believes in god, Buddhism eschews the idea of creator gods, etc.

They both believe in the concepts of ahimsa (non-harm), karma and rebirth (Buddhism's take is a bit different, see below).

Buddhism teaches a way out of the cycle of existence and suffering, whereas with Hinduism you're just reborn until you "get it right" karmically.

Just a few. Hope they helps some

In Hinduism the soul is supposed to melt with Atman. In Buddhism no soul exists. No Atman exists either, because everything is bound to cause and effect and where would God or Atman come from if they are subject to cause and effect as well?

Huston Smith's Religions of Man does an excellent job of covering this complicated subject in a short way.

One difference is buddhism does not worship a diety. Hinudism has many different gods that are all important.
