My Favorite is when Jesus...you know Jesus the son of God...the all knowing all seeing creator of this universe,Says in Mark chapter 4 that the smallest seed in the world is the mustard seed when anyone who studies that kind of thing knows that is incorrect..i mean you kinda think God or the Son of god would know that. The Ancient hebrew version backs up the claim that he did infact say it is the smallest.
Mark 4:31-32
[It is] like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.

What the heck version of the bible are you people reading? or do ou just not understand what you are reading?
Are there other translations of the true bible so morons can understand it.
No where in the bible does it state thou shall not kill. That is a modern translation. It reads "thou shall not murder" Two different things.
as for the Genesis lover God Did create the light on the first day. There were no plants created then that would be day 3.
9And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13And the evening and the morning were the third day.
11And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
he must have been confusing the verse number with the number of days. As well as being aerogunt enough to think God used Mankinds version of a day.
As for Exodus, Moses did not see the face of God, God spoke to Moses as if they were face to face.
I think most of you are just trying to find holes. why not go with the theory that MAN wrote the new Testiment of the bible, Jesus isn't the son of God and Women should really rule the world. At least that way we could have lifeguards in the gene pool.

Thou shalt not murder, I believe is the text.
Further, the Bible also says, that "no one has ever seen God." And as for Moses, he only got to see God walking away from him as he hid his face in the cleft of a rock.
HOWEVER, I note a difficulty in the following passages, which may have come from a minor textual variation:
2 Samuel 21:19 "Elhanan . . . struck down Goliath the Gittite"
1 Chronicles 20:5 "Elhanan . . . struck down Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite"
(see Gleason Archer's Encyclopedia of Biblical Difficulties)
And yet, I'm still afraid to die and want desperately to believe in something other than the only reason I'm alive is to pass on my DNA.

well you must not realize that you have delve deeper into the bible understand the meanings of such things. If you would give some examples maybe i could explain to you what these things mean. For instance, God does not want you to kill people because of your own anger or hate. He does command the armies in the old testament to kill all people in a town or city, but this is his judgement on them for what they have done in the past or will do in the future. It is not gods wish for anyone to be killed but it may happen.

I don't have a "favorite". The whole concept of patriarchy is pretty tough to absorb. As children we are most often closest to our mothers, but women are not as highly considered in many text. Pretty hard for kids to grasp. I guess all faiths have their inconsistencies. I find it funny sometimes that I have wasted time looking at flaws in different faiths, when I could have spent that time exploring my own beliefs.

I love it that genesis is so full of errors.. The sun is created in day 4! We use the sun to calculate days, so shouldn't it have been created on day 1?? The plants will all be dead too (coz christians argue about my first point that God used a 'day-scale' far longer that our own, which doesn't use our sun) Plants are made in day 3, and need the sun for photosynthesis to live.
Also.. Jesus is the son of god, yet we are all god's children.. HUH!? what makes him so special (people also refer to him as the son of MAN). He would have had sin like any of us, as would Mary/Joseph etc (descendants of Adam)- Some christians refer to sin as being 'genetic' amongst mankind after all..
Edit: Sorry danielle for being so 'aerogunt'.. haha! :-P

In one place, Paul tells women not to speak in church, and in another place, he tells them that when women pray or prophesy, they should have their heads covered. Are they allowed to prophesy, but not in church? And if they are able to prophesy, shouldn't they be considered capable of speaking in the church? And this is from the same book of the Bible! And how many fundamentalist women are guilty of praying with their heads uncovered (unless you're like the Amish and wear your cap all the time, or stop yourself from praying if you don't have a hat on?)
I Corinthians 14: 34-35 As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.
I Corinthians 11:5 And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is just as though her head were shaved.

I'll agree with yours in that it's a taboo against murder.. then God tells them in Numbers 31, Deuteronomy 2, I Samuel 15 and II Samuel 12 to commit genocide.
There's no way that even a learned apologist can get around that one. The God of both Testaments is cruel and sadistic.
