i lost my parents when i was young an have been alone most of my life, i have a daughter who i live with but no partner. i met one of my neighbors about four years ago an she is lovley i started to call her mom an she started cooking for me an looking after me an my little one. after a few weeks a called her mom an that kinda stuck we spent a lot of time together an started doing the shopping together. we have reacently had a row an i stay alone most of the time, we still talk but its not the same i feel like i have lost my mom all over again an now i havent got anyone who i can talk to or feel close with what can i do?

Apologize and put things right. No dispute is worth losing a close relationship over.... no matter who's right or who's wrong. I'd bet she feels the same.

No you're not stupid, just not sure how to deal with this upset in your relationship. If she had been your "mom" since you were little you would have had hundreds of arguments and made up again and you would be used to it. Go around, give her a hug and tell her how you feel. She probably misses the closeness as much as you do.

I don't think you are being stupid, I think you just don't know how to handle making up after an argument. Why don't you tell her you want to talk about the argument and clear the air.

She sounds like a great person to have in your life, so I think you should work to repair this.

Aww Sweety, You need to get out there and start meeting people. potential mothers for your child and a soul mate for you. You can never replace a parent Hun, you have to move forward.
You need a woman in your life to be your friend, lover and to just have someone to be with you. please go looking, start dating for u & ur child.

Go visit her, apologize and tell her basically what you have said here. A relationship like that is not one you want to lose.

No, I don't think that's stupid at all! I think it's sweet that she has been a mother figure to you. Why don't you sit down with her and tell her exactly how you're feeling?
