Keep a journal of everything you eat. Just read the labels, and when there isn't a label (ie. apples) just google a nice online resource to find out how many calories they have. Just keep an eye on portion sizes.

It's too time consuming and doesn't speed up your weight loss any faster, if you eat in small portions (like the size of your own fist), you'll be fine, obviously on the healthy side of the menu,.....but the calorie counting doesn't last that long, because it's seriously a waste of time! sure it makes sense, but do you really want to count EVERY calorie, write it down, add it and get the sum, every morning, day, and night? i don't.....most people who have lost a good amount of weight, didn't do it by calorie counting

The absolute best way to watch and count calories is to prepare most of your own food. That way you know for sure what is going into your mouth!

It's too hard to guess about restaurant food and pre-packaged food. Plus that stuff all has more sodium than a person should eat.

If you start with whole fresh foods, you'll keep better track.

it is always posted on the back of most food products. just eat only the serving size and if you eat more double the calorie count...its not that hard also count every calorie that goes into your mouth

i would say go to weight watchers or a gym and have them make up some sort of plan for you make it alot easier then you would know what to eat and focus on working off the calories and keeping track of what you burned off calorie wise cause that is hard enough by itself good luck

Go there and find out how many calories you average. Then eat about 500-700 less a day. Exercise too.
