It wouldn't matter what I thought...only how you feel about yourself. If you are happy with yourself and your beliefs that's all that matters. Don't worry about what others think.

You apparently haven't noticed, but we live in a hypercritical society that judges everything based on sight alone. You've heard the saying "You can't judge a book by it's cover"? The vast majority of people don't pay any attention to it. People see me and the way I dress in the winter and they assume I'm a nice young woman. That's because all the tattoos on my back are usually covered by clothing. Then, during the summer, when people see the tattoos on my back, I can't possibly be a nice young woman. It's all very superficial.

I definitely would assume because of your clothing that you are materialistic, want to fit in and need to be part of a crowd. These sorts of things except maybe materialism are traits that you would share with any member of a major religion whatever it may be (you don't say).

Nothing wrong at all. Ignore the ignorant...
If I saw you I wouldn't assume you did or didn't. People who are gothic TEND to be very spiritual people. Of course, each person is different!
Best wishes to you.

They don't, and it's weird how people make assumptions. I'm sort of the opposite--I dress fairly conservatively, and I find people assume that to be my mindset as well...
