It is not stupid and yes others have failed. You were probably just nervous it's common. Take a few deep breaths and then visualize in your mind the driving portion of your test. What you didn't do right the first time, correct in your mind. Do this a few times and then go back and take it again. You will be fine and congratulations on passing the written test.

You are not stupid. I got my license when I was 18, but I never drove until I was about 30 years old. I just couldn't stand it. But finally I realized that I had to drive to be more independent. People fail the tests, but that doesn't mean anything. Some people are just nervous. Practice as much as you can study the book for the written test and if you can afford a driving instructor that would probably help as well.
Good luck!

Lots of people have failed the driving part or the written part the first time. Don't give up. Just keep practicing and taking the test until you pass.

Heck no, it's not too late!! I failed my first driving test too. I just practiced some more till I was more comfortable with the whole thing. Keep at it until you get your license. I'm sure you were just nervous...I mean, the instructor is sitting right there, how nerve wracking!!! Go for it!!

Most people fail on their first try and my mother in law didn't get her driving licence until she was in her 50's. My mum was in her mid 40s and failed at least 9 times before she got hers. If you want it, go for it, you'll pass. Don't let one failure put you off, never give up.

Keep trying.... being able to drive is an essential tool in everyone's life! My brother in law's wife is 40 and she has never driven either. It's really inconvenient for him as she can't even run into town to pick up a gallon of milk, let alone all the running of the kids here or there. I say don't give up.... you will pass eventually!
