That's a really good question, I remember a time when I was attacking the silly superstitious beliefs of two of my cousins and they stopped me cold by saying 'well we want to believe in heaven because our dad died'

What can you say to that? Some people just want to believe the Universe is a bit less cold, unfair and cruel that it truly is and in a way that's not so bad. The enemies are the ones who try to force their superstition down your throat - the ones who dont understand even what their own religions are about as they arrogantly preach about the hell bound fates of unbelievers like me.

you mean, as opposed to letting them live with a dangerous illusion that could make them shun, harm or kill others?

In that case, no. I am doing them a favour. I don't set out to hurt people but I also don't believe in keeping quiet so feelings won't be hurt. Religion and the accompanying religious wars (not to mention the discrimination, bigotry and hypocrisy) have done too much harm to humankind during the past 2000 years.

i might want to sense undesirable yet i might want to by no ability purposefully disillusion absolutely everyone. it is your opinion that my answer might want to disillusion the fellow asking because you're a christian and that i'm an atheist. i think like if someone requested you a question, you may want to motivate them to do nonsensical issues that could want to diminish the reports that are accessible in to them of their couple of minutes in this earth. you imagine my answer might want to motivate them to purchase a one-way value tag to "the lake of hearth." i'll make certain why you're so adamant, given the loopy belongings you've faith in. although that isn't any longer real to me. and that i'm no longer constrained to it. or maybe then, i do not ever push those beliefs onto absolutely everyone.

Do Christians not feel sad when they persecute the non believers and thrust their beliefs in their faces?

Just what is so special and so fragile about Christian sensitivities?

No wonder the churches are loosing their congregations so fast! Good Christians are becoming too embarrassed to be associated with the people now calling themselves Christian!

Probably...I would never want to make anyone sad. But I would hope through the disillusionment they might begin to question some things and start reading more than just the bible to educate themselves on religion. That's not to say that they would abandon their religion, but maybe at least see more than just what they have been taught.

Well considering that Xians love telling me I'm going to burn forever in a fiery hell, no I don't think I'd feel to sad. After-all, I'm the one who is supposed to be tortured for all eternity right? Oh, but then God loves you. What kind of %@!$ is this? Make them all cry I say!

To use their own book , "...tell the truth, shame the devil."

I cannot anticipate someone's emotional response to my questions. If I ask a question, it is an attempt to gain information, and I would hope that a person reading the question would view it in that light, and not as a personal affront.

I felt bad once because I made a youth pastor Cry but I didn't intend for him to get so upset, I never intended for him to stop believing just to think rationally about what he believed. Now he thinks his whole life has been a waste of time.

Probably. I don't have any need to tear other people's beliefs down.

The only exception would be that if they were on a potentially really dangerous path. Along the lines of "Is it OK if I take my pet toaster in the bath with me?"
