My Aunt and her boyfriend were together for 19 years and have 5 kids together, the youngest three are 11, 12, and 13. They recently separated and now he is not doing anything for his younger kids. My aunt filed for child support but now he is saying he wants a paternity test to prove that they are his. Doesn't he still have to pay child support if he has been taking care of them for all these years.

Not necessarily. Each state has its own child support laws, so your aunt needs to consult a lawyer or your local county/state women's support agency for the answers to your/her questions.

Best of luck to you both!

In some states the answer would be yes. In Michigan any man who acts like a father & the children believe him to be their father, is in the eyes of the law, the father. Particularly if he has been living with their mother. These laws vary from state to state.

An attorney is necessary in this case. Its possible that in your state a test wouldn't even be necessary & if it is he should have to pay for it.

He should be ashamed of himself.
