since wednesday, i think i have come down with the flu. I havent been in work since thursday afternoon.

slept 19hours solid! which isnt like me at all.

I feel bungged up, and dizzy.

I woke up last night with really bad ear pain, and the one side of my face ached.

this morning i had a dental appointment, i was just leaving the room, when i felt something tickle.... blood in my ear! theres no spot, no earrings... it looked like it had happened before as there was a lot of dried blood.

i havent eatten for 2 days, but i have drank plently of fruit juices and water.

could the blood be where i was blowing my nose to hard?

or should i seek medical help!

It sounds like you have had a middle ear infection. When the pressure rises the ear drum ruptures and the pain lessens.......... you need to have a medic look in your ear for further assessment.

DO NOT put your head under water, put anything in your ear until you have had it assessed by a professional.

It will heal and your hearing will be ok.

Good luck

Sounds like a ruptured ear drum sometimes that is caused by blowing your nose too hard but most likely since you have been sick the ear got infected. Doctor will give you some antibiotics.. and the ear drum usually heals with no bad effects mine did the same thing a few years ago.

You may have an ear infection that has caused ulceration or your eardrum may have burst from internal infection. It's very unlikely you could have done it by blowing your nose so hard. Go see a doctor, your GP or to Casualty.

Jeez, bleeding from your ear is clearly not a good sign and never will be. Take yourself down to the surgery and let your Doc have a look at it. I'm surprised you need to ask - GO NOW!

I had a really bad cold before Christmas and had blood from my ear as well - it's quite alarming! But I think it's just from infection etc...but if you're worried, get it checked out.

Best see your doctor. I had blood coming from my ear once and I had to go onto antibiotics.

Retard, if your ear is bleeding then you should probably see a doctor.

Your question is like saying: hey guys i just got shot in the chest, should i see a doctor or just hope it goes away?
