JPG is a format of a picture.
If you put the files on a cd as JPG you wouldn't be able to open that an alter them, they would be an image (if it would work at all)
If you need them as pictures then simply use Print Screen Command.
Other than that just save them as they are or use a memory stick. One way around using external devices is to email the document as an attachement to your own email address.

Doing that for the purpose of copying on to disc serves limted purpose. Unless you have users who do not have Excel installed and are too busy or too clueless to install software for opening excel files.
I do it all the time. Copy and paste the image to send out as email. Browsers handle JPG well anyway. Keep the formatting in place too.
In that case, creating in PDF is he best way to go. There are freeware PDF creator. Search for them.

excel and word files can be saved to a disk without being saved as a JPG. I have no idea why you would want to do such a thing.

Why on earth would you want to do that? Just copy the word or excel file onto the disk.
