A lot of people are able to be friends with their ex's, but you have to find out the nature of their relationship. If they're just friends, that's fine, but if it's more than friends, then of course that's a problem.
If you're concerned, then ask him if he still has any feelings for his ex and then you'll know what to do based on his actions. Just don't sit around wondering....talk to him!

he isnt. sorry the truth is harsh but is not in love with you or if he is he doesnt respect you enough. you dont need this. i know because in one occasion i was the ex that he was talking to. and sadly the one he cheated with. believe me it isnt worth it at all. and tip of advice if a gjy cant respect you like you deserve then he isnt the one for you.

Sounds like he is not a worthy guy if he sits and talks to you about his ex. Tell him it bothers you and if doesn't stop drop him. Have you ask him if he still loves her?
