If you're an illegal alien, nothing.

Best case a small fine.

Worst case Jail and a driving ban up to 7 years.

All depends on the circumstances. Eg were you speeding when you were stopped, does the van have an MOT certificate, was there an accident with other vehicles involved. Were the police looking for you for another reason. The list of variables is almost endless.

If you have just been silly then the police might be your best Friends in the circumstances, but if you are anti society then you will be looked at differently. You are now being processed by the system it has its own set of internal rules.

Got money? then you can get a really good lawyer who has the capacity to expose any technical error made by the police and you could get off altogether.

first off, three points is not a clean record. know that walking in the door. did you get insurance after you got the ticket? that would be most helpful to you in front of the judge. if you have, then make sure you tell the judge that, and he may just assess a fine. if you can't pay the fine, speak up and tell the judge that and ask if you can get onto a payment plan or maybe do community service in lieu of fines and costs. best case would be if it were thrown out all together. worst case would be time, if you can't pay the fine and the judge is unwilling to accommodate your financial needs. hope this helped you and good luck!!

well got pulled over last year, and had no insurance and i got a £35 fine, and 6 points on my licence, i pleaded guilty by post and also wrote a letter explaining my stupidity and the how it would effect my life without being able to drive which was read out in court, which im not sure made a difference, but im sure you wont lose your licence, if you are lucky and dont, then make sure you learn the lesson though, as i have!

Van confiscated, fine, ban, criminal record for life.

Most likely - telling off and small fine and ban.

I hope your wheels fall off. Why should I be paying for insurance when you seem to not do so. I hope you can pay if you hit something, because i would privately sue you to hell if you hit me uninsured.
Why am i miffed? a good friend of mine is laying in hospital brain damaged at the mo because he was hit by an uninsured person!
The law says get insured, don't like it ? then campaign for change!

Up to a $500 fine. Normally it is around $300 to $400 in fines. The points should be on the DMV website. Look under penalties.

In Missouri:

Worst case: $500 fine and eight more points on your license.
Best case: Get insurance before your court date, and the summons gets dismissed on payment of court costs ($25-$40) and no points.

Worst case Large fine 400-1,000 dollars
Best case, go get insurance, even though you didn't have it at the time it gives the judge some discretion. Good Luck

You will definately get three points at least on your licence. You will also receive either a fine or a community service order if you plead poverty and cannot pay, so don't go down that road. You won't get much more than that.

worst case 30 days in nick, but they are quite full at the moment so you will probably just get a fine and a ban or points, my brother is in court monday with same thing, but he missed the last court hearing so they had a warrant out for his arrest he has to hand him self in then go straight to court monday morning, I think he will get worse than you,
let this be a lesson to ya!

Put in a guilty plea at the earliest opportunity, make it clear you are sorry for your actions and then you will be looking at a fine for a few hundred quid (probably less than the actual insurance policy would have cost!)
