This question is more for my friend than me, simply b/c I do not drink and he is a party animal.

Anyway so one night my friend and his buds were having a small BP game at his room (I do not drink, so I declined to join). One of the girls got a little too drunk and pretty much fell straight to sleep in her room. So my friend, in all the fun, decides to prank her by sticking a chocolate bar down her pants and letting it melt (a tad immature perhaps).

Anyway, so I kept saying that he could get into trouble for that (sexual harassment perhaps?). He says no, b/c it has been almost 3-4 months and she hasn't told on him (though she did say she would get him back) and that there are guys who rape passed out girls and stuff so he didn't do anything serious or life-changing to her.

So what do you guys think?

I think that is ridiculous. I have no problem with the occasional drunken prank. (However, when I was in College we only did pranks on people we passed out with their shoes still on). However, sticking a choclate bar in a female friends pants while she is sleeping is just unhygenic and ignorant of the female autonomy.

If your friends put a chocolate bar down her pants, she probably has the right to claim a small class of sexual misconduct or some such thing. Since we don't know what state or local laws you have to worry about, it is hard to say exactly.

Certainly, their actions were idiotic, and you never know how a person (male or female) will react to what is done to them while they are passed out.

Honestly, though... It sounds like she may just get even with them in another way, and that might be even scarier than the police getting involved.

I agree with everyone in that it was quite an immature prank.

However, to press sexual harassment charges would be a tad harsh. You claim that this girl hasn't pressed charges against your friend yet (and it has been 3-4 months)? Personally then you and him don't need to worry too much, for as she has perhaps either forgotten about it or probably just laughed it away.

Then again, she could be planning something...;)

It all depends on how the girl reacted. If she passed it off as a joke and she is just going to get him back through another prank, then I don't think he will get in trouble. But since she was passed out and had no control over the situation, she very well could press charges. Sexual Harrasament can range from a hostile environment to unwanted physical or emotional advances. If the girl took this as an unwated physical advance (since he did put something down her pants!) she could probably press charges (and win). Everyone needs to be careful with things like this because you never know how someone will react to this. Being passed out is a bad time to pull a joke.

before everything, i does no longer evaluate spending money on nutrition a waste. If I have been you, i could take a seat your pal down and factor out some issues. before everything, you're able to be upfront along with her and tell her that there is not any longer something incorrect along with her existence. specific, she made some errors alongside the way, yet she nevertheless has time to alter and turn her existence around. 2nd of all, she's sufficiently old to take accountability for her movements. If she have been given in touch in drama, she could locate a thank you to tug herself out of it. some people only like drama, what are you able to do? no longer something. Secondly, do no longer make all of it sound detrimental. She's only going to pity herself greater. Make it sound empowering. "seem at each and every thing you have been by so a techniques, you're a survivor!" or some thing like that. She does not want a guy to help her out. "you have performed so properly on your guy or woman already, why upload greater desirable tension?" specific her automobile have been given repoed, yet this type she's helping the ambience, she gets some greater exercising, and he or she might desire to even make searching for a job a dedication to attaining her purpose of having a clean one. Thirdly, you do no longer could be so attainable for her. look after your self first and maximum outstanding and once you experience like it or while she extremely, extremely needs you (close death interior the kin, eviction, and so on) then you certainly could be there for her. otherwise, only lean back and permit her look after herself. people like that don't be taught till they have been confronted with huge disaster and could initiate from the backside. provide it a shot. If none of this works then i could say you have extremely have been given no longer something to experience undesirable or in charge or regretful approximately in saying so long to the friendship.

It's not like he was copping a feel... he was sticking a candy bar down her pants. TOTALLY immature and rude but not sexual harrassment.

Of course, in our overly litigious society, it was a really dumb move on his part because she could make his life a living hell if she chose.

Maybe it was a joke, but was it really a good joke? I don't think it was a joke the Almighty would laugh at. If it wasn't good, it was bad. (Though maybe it would make a serious impression on her that she was seriously vulnerable, and cure her drinking problem.--I hope so)

People have been sued for sexual harrissment for saying 'have a lovely day', you can make a court case over nothing it just depends if a judge will hear it.
