Sure. Are you talking about the "capsule endoscopy"? You are talking nano technology, yes? The patient swallows a small capsule with a camera in it, enabling the GI doc to visualize his/her digestive tract from start to finish, but especially the small bowel. In the past, docs could only see the first few feet of the small bowel, making diagnosing problems there a guessing game. The pt. wears a data recoder on his/her belt for about 8 hours, then the pt and doc can watch what the pod recorded on a video screen later. The biggest risk, but an uncommon one, is an obstruction. During the test, the patient avoids vigorous physical activity, but otherwise pretty much goes on with his/her day as usual. What is your question?
