My fiance is a good deal older than me....which makes all my future in-laws older than me. Do you have any ideas on how I can fit with them a little better? I'm young enough that after we marry, I'll have a nice who is older than me. I want to have a good relationship with my new family, but I'm not sure how to connect with my future sister in law when she's about 30 years older than me. Any suggestions?

The best suggestion i can give you my friend is to be yourself.

You sound like a great person to want to try to do this.

Let you actions speak louder than words. Love your fiance look after him well that is the best way to connect with you future in laws.

My husband is 10 years younger than me so i had similar problems.

Don't try to force yourself on them as they will not respect you for that, and possibly walk all over you.

Good Luck

Whatever their interests are, learn something about them.
You should be able to at least hold a minimal conversation on a subject that they are really into. And ask them questions about it too. You might actually end up liking the same things. It's only one way to build bridges. Time and shared experiences count for much.

You don't need to fit in!! Just be yourself!! There are generations between you and your in laws!! I mean beside making sure you are courteous and friendly there is nothing more you can do!! When they get to know you and why your husband fall in love with you they will begin to like you!! If they are close minded and overly critical!!! Limit your visits!! Good Luck

I had a similar problem when I met my husband. I was only 17. Just be yourself, if they don't like the person you are they certainly won't like somebody you are pretending to be. Pretty soon they will forget the age gap and just accept you for the person you are.

Be youself, if they don't like you then it's something wrong with them, not you.
