Unfortunately it is very poor etiquette to read a will during the funeral. Infact, I don't think the will is available to read until the family meets with the lawyer to go over the will- it is a legal document, and to an extent it's considered classified inforamtion until appropriately and respectfully executed by a lawyer of choice.

No, its not proper even if you're mention in the will.
You still have to wait til the lawyer reads it.
It his job and makes everything up and up for the decease's last wishes.

no way!!!!!! wait till the atourney or representative comes or the will is read out and if neither happens do it after the funeral and after the farewells. have some respect to the dead. GOSH the fact that is your main concern 'if you got something' is disgusting, you should ashamed of yourself.

yes, but it's really inappropriate if after finding out that you got a buttload of money to stand at the funeral and do the "Happy Dance".
Wait till you get outside at least.

Depends on the deceased person, If it were your Granny, you may want read the will in private, not in front of everyone. You may scream or shout about your newly found fortune and have everyone look at you funny!.

Only if you're wearing bright pink taffeta; six inch stiletto heels; sitting on the coffin; smoking a cigarette and drinking a martini.
Otherwise, Hell yes its in bad taste!

Good question....how did you end up? If you didn't get what you wanted did you yell out, curse and do something nasty?
Maybe not rude, but I think you could have read it on the ride over or out from the graveyard. They weren't going anywhere.
