I love mine, it takes so much loose hair away and the dogs enjoy it also.

The only thing I know about the furminator is from my mother in law. She has a dog that sheds like crazy. This service came out to her house and did whatever they did in a van. It's supposed to reduce shedding for a couple of months. She swears it works. They wash her with some special shampoo then brush her. The under coat is what is supposed to come out when they brush. If your dog is a shedder, I would look into it.

FURminator is a good product. Lot of professionals use it (carting tool).

totally not worth it. just invest in a good brush. you can even try to get your dog used to the vaccuum. my old dog loved it and would actually lay down so we could vaccuum her.
