Politely ask them to turn it down to a volume that you cannot hear it at. If that doesn't work, bring your own music in and play it at a volume that is not too loud, but loud enough that you cannot hear your co-workers.
If you find it offensive, you can discuss the problem with management. Most states have rules against playing something that another person finds offensive.
If you can use headphones at work, I'd use them.

there are two methods with a back up plan.
1:- Try to get your coworker to agree to listen to some music that you both enjoy.
2:- Whinge to the boss like a spoiled brat
And the back up plan is to play something vile and satanic just to annoy them if they dint agree to play something different.

i'm reluctantly compelled to believe Misty. Catholic Charities is strictly that---a Catholic Charity. they have executed lots in the portion of adoption amenities etc. now a state authorities is attempting to rigidity them to grant equivalent adoption rights to gay couples, so Catholic Charities is shutting down amenities in that state. As an followed man or woman, i'm positive that there are quite some loving gay couples who might want to be nice mom and father. i have self assurance that it truly is extra genuine on the prompt than even as i became an toddler 40 six years in the past. gay anybody is extra seen, extra in the mainstream, and youthful babies on the prompt are tolerant of gays and understanding of the topics round it. yet this became no longer the case even as i became youthful, and that i'm satisfied that i did not ought to bear the taunting that would want to have take position had I been followed by a gay couple. That stated, Catholic Charities has the right to refuse to grant amenities in a state or u . s . a . or everywhere the position the regulation forces them to do issues that are hostile to their beliefs. i might want to disagree with those beliefs, yet i does no longer attempt to regulate them. as Misty stated, the problem isn't (frequently) with the Catholic Charities, the problem is led to by a authorities regulation, back in a unmarried state, that motives CC to cancel their charitable artwork in the portion of adoption in that state.

Is this in an office? If so maybe talk to the superior about it. I mean I am a Christian but I don't think it is right to offend others. I am hoping that you have at least ASKED them to turn it off or at least use earphones though. Heck offer to buy them the headphones maybe.

If you have one, check with your HR department - often there are workplace guidelines which prohibit personal music stations in the office. Otherwise, talk to your supervisor and explain that you find the music distracting and not conducive to a proper working environment.

You ask them to turn it down if it's too loud. Or maybe see if there's some music that you both can agree on and listen too. Another idea would be compromise....you could listen to their music one day, and yours the next, then take turns after that.

Talk to the management. They should place a good work environment over someone's personal enjoyment of music.

Play your own music tht includes Satanic verses. When your coworker complains, offer not to play yours if they don't play theirs. Have fun.
