They are making a mess and have even started to use my badger pit as a makeshift toilet.

I tried shaking my fist angrily at them, but it didn't work

You have gone about this all wrong, angry fist shaking just makes them stay longer, by far the easiest way to get rid of them is to tell them that they are welcome to stay on your land as long as they like. Also to expedite matters, try saying 'Hi-de-hi campers' every time you see them.

Hello,

(ANS) In this kind of situation it really depends upon who actually has ownership of the land in question.

No.1 if the land is just common land like a moore for example and has been used for common grazing in the past then I doubt there is much you can do.

No.2 If "You actually own the land yourself" then technically these people would I think be considered to be tresspassing & then you could ask the police & local authoties to become involved in moving them on some where else. Otherwise they could make a permanent or semi permanant encampment on the land.

No.3 If the land in question is owned by the local authority then its a local authority matter so you could contact your local town hall, or local authority that manages the area. Again its probably a police & local authority matter.

No.4 if the land is owned by someone else i.e. privately owned once again they are probably tresspassing technically, unless the land owner has invited them to come onto the land or allowed them a pitch.

**Getting angry definately wont work, you have to invoke the local laws or statutory laws or bye laws to get them to move away, move on.

**Your local MP might also be helpful if your having difficulty with them.

**REPOSTED due to computer problems!

ofcourse it means other places are demolished to grow food and the food grown from traditional farms is usually better any way the big seed companies have wiped out thousands of local seeds systimatically in the last 100 years,to replace them with a few genetically engenered ones that are infertile so the farmers ,now corporations, are forced to keep buying seed traditional farms grew a lot of their own seed and these species may not have been so pretty but they were more desease resistant and certainly had more taste.

My initial answer would be with explosives but I wouldn't want to harm any Badgers. So after some thought I suggest hosing them down with high power hoses and detergent, the fire & rescue service may be able to help, especially if you set fire to the gypsies first.

First: Tell them you need your block paving done, when they come round, say your popping out (don'y forget to lock up).
2nd: go to their herd and move all the caravans away
3rd: go back home, tell them where there caravans are, DONE!
if they come back, just call the cops

uuh...you have to call your fairygodmother. then call on godzilla to get them out. After that you have to feed a gypsie to Godzilla. Godzilla works with Captain Jack Sparrow, who you have to send some rum too, then Will works with Sparrow, in which you have to give nothing cuz hes a good man, and elizabeth works with will, who you have to burn 3 corsets. Then i work with elizabeth so you have to pay me 1000 bucks. it realy is a big deal and you must take care of it now!!!

I think that people should remember that these people are part of our culture. They do need some where to live and if stuck up people keep refusing to let them buy land to live on, you will be stuck with these problems forever.
Let them buy and live on their land and people like you and me wont be bothered.

Do YOU really think they want to live on a badger farm......
And do you really think they like shitting out side.......

Making them angry will only end up in them making your life a missery.
Some of them are nice people who only want somewhere they can settle, some education for their children
