The effects of global warming, whether natural or man made are basically:
1) Increased sea levels, which will flood coastal areas
2) Changes in weather patterns. Since the warming will not be uniform around the globe (cold dry areas will warm up the most, hot moist areas least or maybe not at all), atmospheric and ocean currents will change (not stop, as long as there are temperatrue differences they will keep going). These are the major drivers of weather so when they change, the weather will too.
3) Changes in habitats, this will of course affect the production of food.
But I doubt that millions will die due to these effects, since all of these changes will occur over an extended period and we should be able to adjust and adapt. That is, after all, what we are particularly good at.

It depends on which scientist you listen to. Some say the ice caps will melt, raising sea level and drowning some large number of people. Other scientists insist that the ocean's salinity will change first, stopping the deep ocean currents and freezing the globe into a new ice age, where we all die of starvation and cold. Basically, it's all just a lot of liberal scare tactics. We don't KNOW what's going to happen. We only know that SOMETHING is raising the earth's temp. As to what that something is, or the consequences we can expect, it's all guesswork. Since 'global warming' is directly related to changes in solar 'weather', it seems that all of this worry, fear, and dread are misplaced at best. It's not our doing, and nothing we can do will stop it.
That said, pollution is its own punishment. We NEED to find alternatives to Big Oil on economic and health grounds. Liberal fear-mongering can get us into deeper trouble when people get tired of hearing them cry 'wolf'.

Global warming /cooling has been happening for millions of years. The recent upswing started 20,000 years ago, way before the first car putted down the street... There is no "cure" but the liberals use the scare tactic to gain more control over people and business, and get higher taxes in the name of saving the world...

It's not like a disaster movie. It happens in slow motion. It's terrible, but not spectacular.
It will disrupt agriculture and flood coastal areas. Rich countries will be able to cope, but it will cost them so much money the standard of living will be lower. Poor countries, particularly ones where agricultural lands are mostly coastal will see a lot of people (probably millions) die of starvation.
The worst and slowest motion disaster in human history.
