From my educational background, I would say neither. For the best source of fiber eat fruits and vegetables, whole grain and protein. For the benefits of fiber I would suggest a serving of at least 8 grams. And drink water instead of a lot of soft drinks. The water will help with better digestion and not add calories.

I would say the fiber powder is quicker because it is already disolvable in water the pill form needs to be broken down by digestion first.
But the pill can be higher concertrated making the effects longer lasting.
Depends on wether you want longer lasting versus quick.
