Long story short, I met a woman about a month ago, started talking on the net, got her number, spoke ever since and was going to meet sometime soon. Last Saturday I left her a message saying give me a shout any time and didn't hear back from her till late yesterday, better late than never. She has a hectic schedule and that was the reason why she didn't call till yesterday. My question is - Am I in this "friend zone" area? If so, how do I get out? Lastly, should I wait a while longer to ask her out again so it doesn't seem like I am desparate?

the thing about online dating is everything moves super fast. it's exciting and you want to meet the person SO BADLY.
If she was really into you she would have met you on Sat. and not posponed or gotten back to you a day later. even if she was busy on Sat. when she called you back she would have offered up another date instead.
Best thing to do is ask her out again, soon, if she pulls this again than walk away but if not maybe she is tellin he truth and is just really busy.

If you want her go for it. Set a place you will be at and time and if she wants to meet for a coffee, drink, etc you will be there.
If she says oh I am busy but gives you an alternate time/date she is interested if not.. move on.
