You need to keep going to school because you didn't spell counselor correctly or use an apostrophe in drug's.
But seriously, you should be trained, certified and licensed. Search the web for "drug counselor" and see what training is available near you.

Well, for starters you need to be an ex-drug user (a heavy one!). I'm sure I'll get lots of thumbs down for this but I think it's only right that a person who has gone through the pain of giving up drugs is the one counselling these unfortunate ones! I have thought about taking up this as a career myself but I don't feel that I'd be qualified for it, even if I had the highest qualifications in the field, because I've never been a drug addict myself.
