When I was Young my mother used to scrub my elbows with a brush at bath time although it never seemed to help. It is just the coloring on some people. A dermatologist years later told me it was due to an overproduction of skin in that area. It is not necessarily dirt.

It may just be darker skin or it could be from resting their arms on the table, desk etc. I have to be very carefull of that myself. No matter how much I wash my desk, my elbows still get dirty. I made myself some sleeves& wear them while working at my desk. They are just fabric sewn into a long tube with elastic at top & bottom. You see, I too had my elbows & feet
scrubbed with a brush. I am very concious of dirty elbows.

Because they don't see their elbows. I don't think it's dirt, but callus formation. Most people do not exfoliate their elbows because they don't think of it - or don't think that they show. I am a skin freak and I exfoliate every day - all over. First of all, it feels good and secondly, my skin is amazingly smooth and supple.
Yeah, elbows are gross, but the condition of people's feet is totally horrible. I can't believe these people go out with their nasty scaly feet for everyone to have to look at. It must be uncomfortable to them, not to mention just plain gross! Yeah, feet are my big turn off if they are not kept nice. I work on my boyfriend's feet all the time and he says that they feel very good to him now because of it.
I just think that a smooth body is lovely to lay next to and touch. I wouldn't have anything to do with a guy who didn't take care of his skin.

No it's actually not that there elbows are dirty. The dark discoloration is from a lifetime of your elbows rubbing against surfaces. Ex; work desk, dinner table, ect
