We have two realtors, a female, and a male. The female is easy, as a "Thank you for all your hard work"-gift- I am going to send her flowers. As for the male, I am completely stuck, and so is my husband. Sending flowers, seems like an appropriate gift for a female, but I am not feeling the same appropriate "feeling" as a gift for a male. Also, they are related, mother and son.... but I don't think getting them a shared gift is appropriate either.. PLEASE HELP!

I would give him a small collectors gift, something engraved, a really nice pen set , or a good bottle of wine would be good. I would also consider a gift certificate to a nice restaurant, near him , that's if you know where he prefer's to eat ..
I would like all these gifts ...

Good Luck

The right gift just never comes to mind .

Since you are sending the mom flowers, what about sending the son a potted plant? Most floral shops carry these as a good alternative. Otherwise, a gift certificate to a nice restaurant is always good, too. Just keep in mind that you want to make sure that the amounts are about equal, because you know they will talk about it! Good luck!

Wow, you're really thoughtful. All I did for our realtors was give them a nice thank you card. I never thought of a gift because they got paid well! On the other hand they gave us a gift!! It was Christmas time and they gave us Christmas CD's and a Christmas candle. Let's see, let's try to think like a man for a minute.......a t shirt with his favorite sports team, or a big mug with his favorite sports logo on it to put his favorite drink in, or a gift card to his favorite restaurant/pub, gift card to a music/video store to buy some CD's, or DVD's, find out his favorite cologne and get that, ask your husband what he would like to receive as a gift and go from there!

Working in real estate most of the agents I encounter are male. We give ties from Hermes, a bottle of fine wine or something from Specs liquor. They absolutely love them.

You can do a joint gift like a thank-you lunch/dinner. That's the only thing I'd do 'jointly' though.

The same people that you send flowers from, they usually do a cracker/cheese gift basket (something more manly).

Or you can do a gift card to a coffee place.

Males typically like toys...so a "Best Buy" or Sporting Good Gift Certificate.

He's already made a lot of money off you (6% commission of the sales price). If you really want to show gratitude though, a thank you card and tickets to a sports event might work.

Send the flowers to the office addressed to both. Keep it professional.
A Thank-you card to each should be plenty.

Ditto on Best Buy gift card. I never met a guy who didn't like to go look at electronics and toys.
