It's not all you can eat like the Atkins diet. go to weightwatchers.com and you can find a location near you. Better yet, save your money and put together your own 1000-1200 calorie diet and watch the fat and carbs and you will do just fine. I am a real, real picky eater so have trouble following most diests. I find it's easier for me to count my own calories and watch the fat, carbs and sodium so that I can choose the foods I like. I don't like cheese unless it's melted and won't eat cottage or cream cheese no matter what. I don't like many veggies or other types of food that are generally used for diet menu's either.

You don't have to eat just Weight Watchers Foods. You can do the core plan where you can have all you want of the pictular type of foods. It would have worked for me if I were able to go to the meetings. The weekly fee is the only thing you HAVE to pay for. Good luck!

Oh yeah if you only eat the meals, when you come off of the meals and start eating regular food, you do gain back a few pounds depending on how much you eat.

weight watchers does not sell "their food" like jenny craig or nutrisystem. You can eat what you want and each thing has a point value based on it's calories, fat and fiber.

You pay weekly fees for meetings usually $9-13 depending on where you live.

I suggest you go to www.weightwatchers.com to learn more about it and then attend a meeting to find out more details from the leader of the meeting.

Weightwatcher food products are available at any grocery store. They have things such as frozen meals, cereals, breads, muffings, desserts, etc. but none of it is required to lose weight.

And yes, it does work. I've lost 40 pounds and kept it off for 5 years.

I am on WW. I am in my third week. Every week I have had a weight loss. YEAH!

I don't use the scale very often. I move. Even if it is marching in place.

I have a family and the planning for meals have gone over nicely. They enjoy what I cookand have even gotten a bit excited over the experimenting with new recipes.

The good thing about WW is you can eat anything(at least on flex points) you want. If I crave McDonald's for whatever reason(and I don't anymore), I can go have anything as long as I account for the points.

You can attend a meeting free. There's tons of info online. WHat do you have to lose!!!

Be well~

I'm getting ready to start Weight Watchers myself. My aunt has lost 100 pounds on Weight Watchers.

Weight Watchers food is available in your local grocery store but you aren't required to buy it. It's more about healthy cooking, eating and portion control. So no, it's not all you can eat.

Foods are assigned points based upon their overall nutritional value. You're "allowed" so many points per day.

Right now you only pay for the program itself and the registration fee is waived. For meetings the program is $100 for a 10 week program. I think the online Weight Watchers is $15 per week.

Good Luck

you need to go to either one of the meetings or the website. weight watchers doesn't have their own food...like jenny craig. they just give you a certain number of POINTS per day. points are like calories ...you add up points values of all the food you eat. it really does work and they offer tons of great healthy recipes. go to weightwatchers.com to find a meeting. i think meetings cost $12/month..but there is a start up fee too.

hope this helps

it costs for the 12 weeks. You eat your own food. Easy to keep off the weight. It has a great support system. Best thing I ever did!!

with weight watchers you buy and prepare your own food....that's the nice thing about it...you can have everything in moderation...just make sure it's balanced and you watch your portion sizes....they do sell WW frozen meals at the grocery for those times you want something fast....good luck
