Curious agnostic jim darwin here, how tall is God? Many of the religious right seem very sure that God thinks homosexuailty is an abomination, they seem to know his political views on the issues of our day, but I haven't had an answer to my question how tall is God? What color beard does he have? Why is it some people, theres a group of them they are non-Christians, they think God is a women? Isn't that different, God is a woman. Usually that group isn't promoting that God ixnay on the omosexuailtyhay idea, just the Christian religious right for some reason.

Heh why do you think that is, the religious right is so no gay marriage thing,

I'm really curious can someone tell me how tall is God? How is it that people know the mind of God, his likes and dislikes, but I can't get a straight (pun!) answer on how tall God is.

Is he 5 feet six feet seven feet tall?

Is he a weight lifter or a skinny fellow.

Maybe God really doesn't have a problem with gay marriage at all

Good luck here Jimmy,
I would like an explanation as to why he is referred to as a male in most cases. Or female for that matter. Does he have a penis? A vagina ?

What characteristic, whether physical or non physical determines what sex we apply to this being? If there is none, why not refer to this being as "it"? That's the term we apply to any other non-sex situation. Why not in this case?

Where is there a reasonable explanation for this being called a male other than the book was written by men from a male slant/agenda?

Let me say this Jim. Why is it so important to know how tall God is? What would that prove? You would question the person who would claim to have seen Him? It would never end.
Jesus taught us that God is a spirit. And those who love God will worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Do you have any children? Remember how innocent they were as little babies? How sweet?
Have you ever been given something just because? And then the person who did the kind act was gone before you could thank him/her? Have you ever done something nice for another just because?
If you still don't get it yet, think on this. God is more than capable of being any size, shape, color, or anything else He wants to be. He is whatever is needed in our lives. Ask Him if you really are hard pressed for the truthful answer.

Yes I believe in God. No I have not seen him.
I have never thought to ask how tall he is.
Who ever said that he had a beard? I don't know of anyone who has seen God and afterwards said that he had a beard, of course they didn't mention anything about his physical description but that is beside the point.
I don't know why some people think that God is a woman. I would guess that it is an attempt to better relate to him or something they decided after getting an extreme for men. However if you want to know God is a male and he is also very happily married.
As far as Gods opinion of gay marriage read about Sodom and Gamora.

No one has seen God, Jim, but it is possible to see His work. Every time you look up at towering mountain ranges, or hear the thunder and see lightening. Everytime you see a sleeping childs face, or see the sun come up with fog shrouding everythng except the treetops and the light.. you are seeing the work of God. I believe that as surely as I believe that the wind causes the clothes I hang out to dry, or that if I throw a ball up in the air, it will come down. I don't have to have ever SEEN those laws to know that they ARE, and to see the works of them.
As for God and the gay marriage thing, for my part, I won't dissolve this into a free-for-all of rights and morality issues.

you cannot see god, no one as ever seen god! god created man and women to be together, so i dont think it is right for man and man or the other way round! God is great, not big or tall or short or any thing like that. in the holy book of god, there is a sura where one of the prophets and a couple of men with him wanted to see god as they wanted proof, so god agreed and cleared the clouds, there was so much light released and mountains next to the men shaterred into pieces, and they couldnt get to seehim as they were sruck blind because of the great light. that makes god too great for words! no one will cope to see him

Mr. Darwin? With all due respect, if you're going to dispute the existence of God you really must do a better job. Are you questioning God's existence by mere virtue of the fact that he is invisible?

Let me ask you this? Do you question the existence of air, gravity, the moon's effect on our oceans because you can't see those either? Do you question the existence of carbon dioxide even though you can't see that either yet, sadly, it kills many each year BECAUSE it can't be seen.

Please, do come up with a more weighty argument.

That confuses me as nicely - I recommend, how do you reject what you do not have faith in top? Rejection implies theory or acknowledgement that something exists yet they do no longer care and rebellion against it. Refusal to have faith means that they do no longer probable have faith something exists. i'm a Christian - yet I certainly have a tendency to think of that individuals get this mixed up. i think of the vehemence of a few atheists might push in basic terms like revolt forward nonetheless - human beings like Rob Sherman in Chicago who has a greater healthful every time the be conscious God is cautioned in any public placing. Peace!
