It's my parents' 40th wedding anniversary soon. My dad is housebound so a family meal or a trip out somewhere is out of the question.
Neither my brother or myself can think of anything, Ive trawled the internet for ideas and Im starting to pull my hair out now!
Any ideas anyone?

it's my parents' 25th anniversary this year so i am making a scrapbook for them showing pictures and things to commemerate their time together- this is a rather personal and very thoughtful idea in my opinion.

I bet your parents have everything. How about if your Dad is housebound and likes flowers/plants plant some bulbs in containers now which he can tend in the house. Spend the day with them cook a meal you and your brother and family have a open house where family friends and neighbours can pop in between designated times. Prepare a memory book - what do you remember best from your youth about your parents, ask older relatives what they remember about your parents. Most of all parents dont want their children to spend huge amounts of money on them time is more precious. Hope you have a great day your parents will as you appear to be very thoughtful
