"Falling in love" is a mainly Western term used to describe the process of moving from a feeling of neutrality towards someone, to one of love.
The usage of the term "fall" implies many things: that the process may have been in some way inevitable or uncontrollable, risky or putting the lover in a state of vulnerability, that the process is irreversible, or all of these things.
The term is generally used to describe an (eventual) love that is strong, although not necessarily permanent.

I dont really understand what you want to be answered but I did want to tell you that you are thinking way too far into such a simple term. Once love hits you fall fast. But it does take a while for that intitial feeling.
why are you contemplating it anyway?

i dont know about that..
because people fall in love with other people and they feel very strong for that person..meaning if the feeling is strong it can last for a long time to permanent....
i fell in love once and the person i fell for didnt feel the same way..and it broke my heart...
two tears ago ...i fell in love with my bf...and i'm just in love with him until now..im still in love with him...
falling in love is the beginning of being in love....
people say...oh..im falling for this guy....
that's just basically sayin that they're close to be in love with them...but then again its not love if the other dont love u back..
yea...so i agree with u in someways that falling in love is a strong feeling for someone but it can end up to be a mistake..
