first - the wound has to heal completely. then, go to a medical supply and buy a compression bandage. it looks like a piece of rubber. you can cut it to size and begin wearing it everyday, starting with a few hours each day until you work up to all the time. take it off daily and wash it and reapply. it will eventually wear down, then cut off another piece and start all over. scars are permanent, but this will reduce the scar better than just about anything, especially if it's a keloid scar that's puffy.

Try applying Vitamin E oil to the scar daily and take Vitamin E 400 iu 1-2 times a day. May help; maybe not, but it is worth a try. If it doesn't you may have to consult a cosmetic surgeon.

You can try natural home remedies or cosmetic surgeries.

You can read all about cosmetic surgeries for scar removal here http://www.bestoflook.com/cosmetics/Acne-Scar-Removal.aspx
or you can try some home remedies here http://www.grannymed.com/meds/scars.aspx

Here are some remedies you can make at home:

# Smear Vitamin E Oil Caplets on the scarred area.
# Smear some tea tree oil on the scar to help it heal faster.
# Put 1-2 drops of lavender essential oil on a cotton ball and apply on scar.
# Blanch green tea, soak a cotton ball and apply on the scar to help it heal.
# Mix Aloe Vera and vitamin E gel caplets and apply to the scar.
