If, 2000 years ago before Jesus was born, an angel appeared and told you that you were chosen by God to born him on earth would you do it?

How would you raise the child? Would you be obsessively protective or just free spirited?

I wonder how Mary felt..

All these men answering about being a mother. Hmmm, interesting. I think your question is fascinating, though I'm not prepared to answer without more thought.

it would be the most scary and the most awsome thing in the world!! scary because he is the savior and because she wasn't supposed to be pregnant at the time even though she was married, but awsome because you out of al the other women in the world were chosen!!!!!!!!! having found favor in Gods eyes is one of the most exhilerating feelings in the world!!! Jesus was a perfect child so Mary didn't have to worry about how to raise him. he naturaly turned out just, rightious, and good or he wouldn't be Jesus!! all through his childhood he preached and healed and taught people to love even the sick and dieing!! he fed and clothed all those in need and brought down all those holier than thou kings and priests who thought they were too good for everyone else. he gave people hope and happiness. there would be no greater honour then to be the mother of Jesus!!!

Mary was always willing to do Gods will. She had a great trust. She is truly the Mother of us all as Jesus said to John while on the cross behold your Mother.

The truth is Jesus Is not "God".

Mary was the earthly mother of God's Son-Jesus.
I'm sure Mary took her responsiblity very seriously

You have been exposed to a lie that has been around for hundreds of years. Mary was not told by the angel Gabriel that she would bear God. If you don't believe me, read on.

At Luke 1:31, 32, Gabriel told Mary: "...You will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son...This one will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High." Verse 34 says: "...What is born will be called holy, God's Son."

Did you notice who Gabriel said Mary was going to give birth to? Not God, but God's Son.

The One True God is Creator and Sustainer of all worlds and all creatures, how any human being can claim to be His mother? He is the Supreme Father, who else can blasphemously claim the station of father?
Moses, Christ, Muhammad...are the Prophets of God, Who come to this world through earthly mothers; these mothers have no station higher than Them, but they are only created beings like other people. Mary could not make any choice, she felt awful, obedient and thankful. Even the names of the mothers of Moses and of Muhammad are not recorded.

The person suffering the most after Jesus is our Blessed mother, being sinless she suffered from the consequences of sin more than others did and she stood under the Cross of her son watching Him slowly die to save those sinners whose made Him suffer so, there she became our mother too.
O Mary pray for us and look after us all.

Actually, I'm glad I was not in Mary's shoes - I don't think I would have been as faithful and trusting in God as she was - she was an awesome lady.
