They were white tubes, a lot like a mint in texture, with a burning tip painted at the end.

How many remember them?

Yes I do. They came 6 in a little box. Those were in the days when you actually could buy penny candy. There were wax lips and little wax soda bottles filled with sugar water, dots of candy on strips of paper like adding machine paper, pumpkin seeds, jaw breakers, licorice whips, Bazooka bubble gum, red licorice "pennies", ice cream cones with the marshmellow stuff on top, Good and Plenty, Snickers that were caramel like candy swirled with some kind of white stuff not like the Snickers candy bars of today, those long suckers that came in chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, Sugar Babies, Slow Pokes, Chickles, Beeman's Gum...

I remember going to the neighborhood store with a quarter and coming out with a small brown paper bag of candy and being quite happy with my treasures!

Thank you for bringing that all back to mind today. You made me smile!

I remember them, quite well. They were a common candy, when I was growing up in the late 50s and early 60s.

They still make them, but they don't call them Candy Cigarettes, they are "Candy Sticks" now. Same terrible taste. Usually you find them in Dollar Stores with Spider-Man on the package.

I do :) I used to walk down to the local gas station and buy them all the time. That and those hard candies with the fizzy powder on the inside.

I remember and they still have them.
They also have the bubble gum ones with a white wrapper around them and when you put it in your mouth and blew, a puff of corn starch would come out making it look like smoke.

I remember them. They came in packs similar to actual brands. I remember the lucky stike and pall mall packs. I was about 8 years old and would roll the pack up in my sleeve like I was some kinda tough guy...lol

Yes I remember them back in the 1940s.

The only cigarettes I ever smoked.

You still get them. Seen them in Booker Cash & Carry, Aberdeen about 3 months ago. You get the chocolate cigar type ones too.

I do! and I remember my mother being furious when she found us eating/smoking them. Even the packaging they came in looked like a cigarette pack.
