I would've asked how many times a day but I don't think most Christians read their bible every day.

I do happen to read the Bible every day.. sometimes several times a day. We read the Bible as a congregation every two years, and I follow a personal Bible study that has the Bible divided up into sections such as the Law, the Gospels, the Psalms, etc. and you read a portion from each section every day. That will have the Bible read in one year. Then I read the Bible anytime I am studying for a meeting. So in answer to your question: weekly? Probably 20-25 times per week.

I've been reading Apocryphal writings more often than not now. Also histories and studies of Judeo-Christian mythology. Far more interesting than the Bible, but related nonetheless. So to answer your question: I read something Bible-related every day, sometimes for an hour or more.

I try to read something from the Bible everyday. There are a few days here and there that I've missed. Usually first thing in the morning to start my day the right way.

May God Bless you.

Generally two or three times a week. Depends on how much time I can make for it in my reading of the holy texts of the various religions and how interested I am in the Christian perspective that day. Lately, the Talmud's been far more interesting.

Father K: Ah, you keep the Daily Office as well? Awesome. I did Daily Office (morning and evening as well) for about a year and a half prior to leaving faith behind me.

I am a Catholic and contrary to what anti-Catholic bigots say, I read teh Bible daily. Look up LECTIO DIVINA - it is a very ancient means of praying with Scripture that originated in Catholic monesteries. I also go to Bible study at my church (another misconception shot down).

Following are some really good sites with Scripture reading and a meditation or reflection on the Scripture reading:

http://www.creighton.edu/CollaborativeMinistry/daily.html
http://www.wau.org/meditations/meditations.asp
http://www.sacredspace.ie/
http://www.pray-as-you-go.org/

I have not found many non-Catholic Christian websites that offer daily Scripture reading and reflection.

I try to read at least once a day. I sometimes only read it once, sometimes not at all. I have started a reading plan to go through the entire Bible in 365 days, so I have read it at least once since New Years. Its a nice thing to have.

I am not a christian by I read it as many times as I can. It's a folly to think that only christians read the bible.
