Well, being an Irish American 4th generation (LOL) I believe the proper term for the beverage in question is beer (for light drinking) or whisky (for slightly heavier drinking). I would have to say that beer would be more equivalent to this wine you speak of, so may I suggest to you "Guinness extra stout." It's a nice easy drink that goes over well at even your nicest of occasions.

Have fun and just in case some people couldn't tell...I'm kidding!!!

there's an irish poato wine poteen i think. it's a great drink. but it gives you one mighty hangover.
