Hydroxycut is one of the WORST diet pills a person can take--it contains high levels of ephedra...a potent hunger-supressant that can lead to serious complications and even death.

Hydroxycut is not a scam. I used it several years ago. If you use it consistently in conjunction with proper diet and exercise program (cardio and resistance training), it will definitely speed up your progress, especially in the weight reduction department. I also found that Hydroxycut boosts your energy. That means you can workout longer without experiencing fatigue. I have also tried the new formula, which is ephedra free but it is not as effective.

The problem with metabolic enhancers like Hydroxycut is that they have adverse side effects. I would not recommend them, especially if you have no knowledge or experience with proper nutrition and exercise programs. Some of the side effects (these may vary depending on the person's tolerance toward the drug and other factors such as weight, age and body type) are extreme headaches, palpitations, restlessness, inability to sleep, nausea, etc. One of the worst side effects I found in Hydroxycut was dehydration. It literally uses-up the water that is stored in your body (hence the name). So, if you use Hydroxycut, be ready to relieve your bladder every several minutes due to all the water you need to consume to replenish what is being lost.

Another thing about Hydroxycut is that even when you discontinue use, it stays in your system for up to as long as a month. Then you have another set of side effects.

Diet and exercise work best. There are supplements out there that can help you (like whey protein). But if you weigh the pros and cons, I would stay away from Hydroxycut.

I think many people are looking for a quick fix which doesn't happen. We can thank tv advertising for that. Those kind of remedies can be very dangerous. They cause overagression in some people. They are especially bad for people that have blood pressure or heart issues. Is thinness worth dying for? The best way to lose weight is eating right and excercise. Results a slower than we like, but very healthy. Quick fixes can be deadly. Hope this helps!

Well, it is partiall that some people are desperate/lazy, HOWEVER, keep in mind the advertisers for these products make them sound so beliveable. So the individuals themselves aren't totally to blame.
