Try saying "Hi, (their name)!" to a person that you usually wouldn't say "hi" to. Say "hi" to a different person everyday. Be in the best smiley mood when you do this. It works for me!

Without knowing more, I wonder if you might have Social Anxiety Disorder. My husband has this, he gets very nervous and uncomfortable meeting new people and carrying on conversations. He literally gets panic stricken. We discussed this with our doctor and he put him on Paxil for the anxiety and now he is much improved. Discuss this with your doctor. It may be a chemical problem in the brain and nothing you can do to change it without help. Best wishes.

Look at yourself in the mirror, pretend that is another person, and practice your speaking. Then talk friendly with others.
