how can you tell if the sender used adobe standard or adobe pro...so you will know if the document was manipulated?

right click on the file, select properties and then the PDF tab. there, you MIGHT find some info, like the program that was used to create the document

The easy way to check on a documents manipulation is by right clicking on it (the pdf fie) and checking the properties. This will show you when it was created as well as when it was last modified, (who the author is - there is a pdf tab in the properties that tells you what you want to know).

You will need to break the document down, since Adobe Reader and the editor uses different XML products.
However, It may not be worth the effort

You can't tell that way.

If you are worried about the authenticity of the files you are sending/recieving, then I recomend you start encrypting them. Encryption programs come with special authentication systems, so you will be able to know if somebody has altered the file after its been encrypted.
