You personally can not do anything.., no matter how much you try to talk her out of it...!!!!!!!!!!
This is difficult but it's maybe the only way to make her realise, it is her and ONLY her that could change the situation!
You see, these people are not the only ones to suffer, their families and friends suffer too, being unable to help.
You have to sit her down, tell her exactly what you think about it and make her see it from your point of view. Tell her that since you have no power over the situation, you don't want to be involved into details, as this is an emotional guillotine for you..
It sounds terrible I know but the bottom line is... she'd feel alone in it, without the illusional support (cuz it is only talking you could do to make her feel better).. she'd get scared and then eventually she'd see that it is really not up to anyone else but herself to resolve the problem.
Of course you could always involve parents, police, GP......etc..

i think you should just be there for her when she needs you I've just finished a violent relationship and from experience it ain't nice at all you seem like a great mate i think she should get out soon as take her to a safe house or get some advice about places in your area the man is only doing this because he thinks he has control over her good luck.

If your not tied down{metiphorically speaking} suggest the two of you relocate to another state untill the asshole moves on.

you need to convince her to leave.....and get help...if she does not leave and get help she could end of hurt very badly or she could die.....after she has left and seeked help then she will need a good friend to be there for her...
that is what friends are for.....
