well, it won't cure you, but it might help a bit.
1. no iron (foods or vitamins)
2. no salt
3. no alcohol, no medications (or least possible for meds)
4. no red meat
5. no fake sugar/very little natural sugar as with hcv you can also develope type 2 diabetes as well as other liver diseases)
you can take milk thistle, but again it only aids in lessening the inflammation.
there is no "juice" cure all, no herbal remedies/concoctions other than that of milk thistle.do not rely on "liver flushes, cleanses, urine therapy, oxygen therapy or any other "gimmick" that claims it will cure you. infact, lot's of these can be potentially dangerous given the fact that with HCV there are many "bi-directional" diseases that could cause other organ damage and many herbs are not good for damaged organs.
if you have not tried interferon and ribavirin, you might ask. there is also a new (in phase 4 study trial) that shows less side effects (if you were to have any at all to begin with) the drug is infergon.
There is nothing really you can do to help lessen HCV and it's damanging virons. Your alt and ast levels might show improvement, but that is not an indication how your liver is doing in terms of damage and by all means, the alt and ast levels are not the test to rely on as far as the level of virons (quasispecies).
I would ask your doctor about infergon if you've previously been labled as a "non-responder".
The nature of HCV is one day you can be fine, the next you could be very very ill. HCV is not just a liver disease. It resides in everything thats connected to the liver. It even passes the blood brain barrier and with a damaged liver, the toxins not filtered can also cause an issue as well.
Good luck!
Per KMCNEICE: How can you POSSIBLY believe that what you've read actually helps when there are bi-directional diseases of having HCV that could already have affected other organs that might have a serious injury and possible life threatening toxicity to herbs????
Did you know that someone may have gastrointeritis or IBS or other digestion problems while eating raw vegetables?
HCV is COMPLEX. It is not as simple as stating something that simple. Again, HCV is viral (rna) based.
ARTICHOKE? You've got to be kidding me! It contains IRON which is NOT advisable to those with liver disease due to possible storing of iron which could lead to FURTHER damage, leading to faster bridging and cirrhosis! Especially those that may be PRONE to certain bidirectional diseases!
NO HERBAL concoctions are benificial to those with HCV except for Milk Thistle, along with the proper diet for those with liver disease will far exceed the health benefits instead of relying on unproven "cure alls". TO DATE: Studies being done in CA and NY have proven a DEAD end as far as herbs are concerned. We really had our hopes up, but that has been proven null-going on the third year!
TOO MUCH is a dangerous concoction concerning HCV especially if you do not know a patients history and complications of HCV (bi-directional diseases).

Both of theses elements generally final result your bodys capacity to heal its self and the leisure of your immune method. There isn't any medication for hep c in need of the "medication" regiment,
