As long as you're doing at least 30 min of cardio and no more than 3 days of strength training (w/ a day's rest in between), it will be.

You are very young and it is not healthy for you to be loosing weight at a rapid speed. Take things slowly and build up momentum as you get more in shape. It is recommended for most kids/adults to do aerobic exercises, such as walking or jogging (on your treadmill) 3-5 times a week, moderately intensity, 20-60 minutes. However, if you want to loose 50 lbs, it is important that you not only exercise right but you also eat right. Eating right could raise the chance of your weight loss plan. If you do a morning run, 7 days of a week in addition to your regular workout, it will be to much and you will only be hurting yourself because there are bad benefits of exercising to much. If you want my suggestion on what you should do, you should watch what you eat, how much calories you take in each day, and when you don't have an activity in the day, run in the morning.

That sounds pretty reasonable to me. It really depends on your goals. For general fitness and toning, a good combination of strength/cardio training for about an hour is good. It really depends on how you're spending that hour and how intense you are. I also suggest changing things up every few weeks to get the most benifits.
Be sure not to neglect your diet. A good diet is every bit as important as a good exercise routine.
Good luck!

They say 30 minutes a day 5 days a week works.. or a cominbation of those minutes. More minutes would do more. Just remember to eat right and drink 6-8 glasses of water or gatorade to replace the minerals you lose.

Definitely. But make sure you are eating healthily. Because even if you're working out, if you're not eating right, it isn't going to help you. What I do is I follow a strict diet Monday to Friday and then on the weekend eat whatever I want. I work out 3 times a week.

There is no magic time allotment for the gym
its not the time in/out of the gym its how much effort you put into your workouts that really matters
People can make amazing progress off a crappy routine if they put effort into in while some might have an amazing routine and see no progress

That would depend on exactly what it is you are doing at the gym...and if you need to lose weight as well as tone, and would also depend on how healthy you eat. I would say a combination of weight lifting and cardio would be fine for that amount of time, if you are only looking to tone and not lose fat.

Unless your doc says otherwise, 4 times is enough.
