Jesus did die for all of our sins but there may be some misunderstanding about this.
The death of Jesus provides an atonement for the sins of anyone who will believe it all the way to the point of conversion.
However, Jesus is not simply a Savior from the PENALTY of sin.
This is what everyone wants.
Jesus is also a Savior from the POWER of sin.
Not everyone wants this. It calls for cooperation with Christ to resist and overcome sin.
When He returns the 2nd time, He will save us eternally from the PRESENCE of sin. Not everyone wants this either.
The sincere and those who truly appreciate Christ desire all three.
If you don't want to love and worship God, you most certainly would be unhappy in heaven.
This is why God has to work in our lives now to transform our characters before death or the return of Christ.
All sin is selfishness. This principle must be removed from our lives with our cooperation and a Christlike character must be developed for heaven.
A Christlike character is the only kind of character that could enjoy heaven and the only kind of character that could be trusted in heaven.
That is why we need a Savior from the POWER of sin and not just the PENALTY of sin.

I'll take the minority view and say that Jesus did not die for the sins of the entire human race, although he had the capacity to so. He only died for the elect that the Father gave him before the foundations of the world. Read Jesus' prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, he did not pray for everybody. Neither did he die for everybody.
And I don't believe God is testing us in this. Rather, he has decided who will be saved out of a human race that by its own nature does not look to God for salvation.

Because it's not real, only tool to continue to live in ignorance and not live what is advantage to their own attainment. Just like with animal sacrifices people figured hey let me kill a few animals and then that will take away my sins. Sin is knowledge not lived, if you don't apply what you know don't expect to obtain anything in life. It's just not the laws of life we grow in our capacity, we become enlightened by our own effort. Otherwise we gain nothing and will be nothing.

Jesus DID die for all our sins. He came not to supersede the Law, merely to amend it. Whether we accept Him or not is up to us; that's what makes free will/love for God possible. There's no trap to look out for, only a measure of faith needed to draw upon as your relationship with God grows.

Let's say you save up all your money all your life (a major sacrifice on your part) to buy a gift for a friend. You present it to your friend and he or she says "no thanks."
Like any gift, it has to be accepted by your friend to have any real value to that friend.
The death of Jesus is His gift of salvation. Accept it through your belief that He is the only way to heaven or eject it. The alternative is eternity in the lake of fire (usually referred to as hell).
I'm not being judgmental here. It's your choice, just like it was your friend's choice not to accept your gift.

Obviously Jesus did die for all of our sins and we don't have to worry about sins anymore. The rest is people being neurotic and not really able to believe what they are really saying.

What I don't get is if Jesus died for peoples sins how did he know there was going to be so many guilty ppl up to 2000 years after the fact?
How did these ppl become guilty? Someone told them that they were. Hmmm.. it doesn't work for me.

He did die for all....However, you still have a choice to accept him or reject him....choose wisely since your eternal life depends upon it. You must repent of sin and receive Christ as your savior.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

How can you just get saved without accepting what Jesus did. Jesus died for the sins of the world, and you can either accept him as Lord and Saviour or reject him.

Jesus was killed because he committed a criminal act. When he rode into Jerusalem he was cheered and worshiped. 3 days later they were calling for his head. Religious scholars have always wondering about just what Jesus did that cause the entire populace to turn against him so quickly. Whatever Jesus did, it has been hidden from history. They say he died for our sins. What about his own?
