My father is turning 53. He is difficult to buy for because he doesn't really NEED anything and won't tell you even if he did. I'm 26 and I have a 15 month old girl that he loves. Any ideas on a gift I could make that has something to do with pictures of my little girl? I don't want to do just a plain photo album, something a little more detailed maybe.. And yes, my father is a wicked sap when it comes to her, so I'm not worried about the gift not being manly enough!! Thanks in advance for any ideas!

If you're crafty, you could make him a scrapbook of your daughter, using pictures of her, little decorations, stamping pads, ribbons, etc. Look at a craft store and see what they have. It's a popular hobby right now so you should be able to find lots of cute things.

Another possibility is to check at your local mall and get your dad a sweatshirt or tee with your daughter's picture on it and something like "world's greatest grandpa". Then squirt some fabric paint onto a paper plate and have your daughter make "hand prints" on the shirt. This paint is washable from skin using soap and water if you do it right away when you're done, but be very careful to cover her clothes! I did this for my husband for Father's Day one year when the boys were younger and he loved it, so did the boys!

Go find a really nice frame and have an 8x10 of your daughter put in it, maybe a frame saying "Grandpa's Angel" or something like that.

A picture frame, throw-away camera, and few rounds of drinks. It is thoughtful and fun.
