i think its a secret society and they are the type (who claim visions and the power or ability to prophecy (prognostication-or foretelling what has to pass). I believe there are several groups of 'Illuminati', for example German and Spanish and all over the world. Johann Adam Weishaupt undertaken progressive illumination in participating in activities within the society involving major emphasis on philosophy (love of wisdom) and the arts.Members of a illuminati can also be called 'Perfectibilists'. I think that they are out of their minds in thinking that mere man can foretell what is to come by the study of philosophy. Philosophy can be hollow and deceptive, misleading and full of untruths.
